Juventus market, in the crosshairs the'former Napoli player discarded by Antonio Conte

Not only midfield and attack: Juventus continues to think about a possible level reinforcement in defense in January. In particular, the Bianconeri are tracking in La Liga the performance of Natan Bernardo de Souza, aka Natan, a Brazilian center back who moved to Betis Sevilla in 2024 after a disappointing year at Napoli. Natan had left the Azzurri club on loan after Antonio Conte did not guarantee him a starting berth, and he accepted Betis’offer, where he has settled in perfectly and projected himself to high levels: last season he played 52 games, helping to lead the Iberian team to the Conference League final.

According to Iberian media, Juventus is reportedly ready to put a major offer on the table to grab the player, who was bought back from the Andalusians for just nine million euros a few months ago. The Brazilian player had already been approached by the Old Lady last summer, but negotiations never got off the ground. Natan now has an estimated market value of around 20 million euros, and a contract until 2030. He could soon make his debut for the Brazilian national team.

Meanwhile, Juventus is reckoning with another defensive injury: Federico Gatti stopped during the match against Udinese’and was forced off the field. The player suffered “injury of the medial meniscus, such that surgery will be necessary and will be performed in the coming days”. Gatti will be unavailable for at least a month and will not return to the field until late January. The player will miss Juventus’ upcoming matches against Napoli, Bologna, Roma and Pisa and the match against Pafos scheduled for Dec. 10. He could return in January for the match with Sassuolo.

Spalletti is now in full emergency: Bremer and Rugani are expected to return in two weeks or so, and it is likely that the Tuscan coach will rely on Koopmeiners again, as he has in recent matches.
