A nightmarish end to the season for Lewis Hamilton, who can&#8217t wait to pull the plug after a 2025 that started with the greatest ambitions and ended badly: “I&#8220m not particularly relieved about the end of the World Championship, no. I&#8217m looking forward to enjoying the break. Now there isn&#8217t much to say about this season. Everything I could say, I&#8217ve already said. Now we move on”, explained the Ferrari driver. “Right now I just want to pull the plug, not talk to anyone. No one will be able to contact me this winter. I won&#8217t have the phone with me. I can&#8217t wait to just think about resting, the phone will end up in the trash”.

The British driver can&#8220t take it anymore: “I can&#8217t wait to get away from it all. Every week photo shoots and everything else. I can&#8217t wait for the day when I don&#8217t have to do all this anymore. The thing that lights me up the most is the love for what I do, the love for racing. I have incredible support from the people around me, from my fans. And’the fact that I always keep my eye on the dream. I still have a dream that I keep in my heart and that is what I work for”. Hamilton sent a dig at those who talk about his possible retirement: “To all those who say that, I don&#8217t want to say anything. None of them did what I did. So they are not even at my level”.

Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur closed 2025 this way: “One of the hallmarks of Ferrari is the emotional intensity that is unmatched. If we have a good practice session, everyone declares us champions; if we have a bad one, we are treated as if we have to fire half the team. My job is to calm all these emotions. 2026 will be a completely different season. What will be crucial next year will be the ability of the teams to develop the car throughout the season, rather than the potential it will have in Melbourne” explained the Cavallino executive.

On the Abu Dhabi race: “Charles hit a good fourth place, Lewis was able to climb back up and finished eighth. It wasn” not so bad.
