Roma still knocked out, Gasperini: "Committed gross errors"

Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini commented on the second consecutive defeat of the Giallorossi, who were overcome in Cagliari: “The refereeing episode? It all seems quite clear to me. In this case it all seems quite clear to me, unlike other times like on Sunday with Napoli”.

After Celik’s ejection “the game became difficult, although for a while we managed to stay out of danger. It is clear that in those conditions it was difficult to be able to build something. We made some gross mistakes that cost us the game, both in the expulsion episode and the goal”.

“They played a lot on long balls – continued the’former Atalanta coach -, we had to succeed on the technical level to do something more even if it was not easy because Cagliari is producing the maximum agonistic effort. We did not manage to improve on the technical level, we could definitely do better but the expulsion certainly affected the match”.

In the final Roma failed to equalize: “The match at one point had little of a usual soccer match, it was more of a broken battle and in these conditions we were unable to recover it”.
