Benetton Rugby and Leonardo Marin forward together

Leonardo Marin will continue to be a player of Benetton Rugby in Treviso: in fact, the opening halfback originally from Mestre has extended his agreement with the green-and-white club until June 30, 2029, thus confirming his link with the club that welcomed him in 2021 following his experience with the ’FIR Academy ‘Ivan Francescato’. “I am very happy to continue my stay in Treviso – Marin said on the sidelines of the signing of the new agreement. -I really feel at home here: the environment is positive, stimulating, and I am lucky enough to share the day-to-day with so many teammates that I now consider friends”.
“This context allows me to work with serenity and give my best every day– added the rugby player who, by the way, boasts 18 caps with the national team -. My ambition is clear: to continue to grow as a player, refine every aspect of my game and contribute more and more to the team. At the same time, I want to be an active part of the club’s journey and do what I can to achieve important goals. The greatest desire is to win something with Benetton Rugby, give satisfaction to our fans and leave a positive mark in this project. I am motivated and determined to give everything to succeed”.
Satisfied with the contract extension also Antonio Pavanello, general manager of Benetton: “We continue to enhance our Italian talents by extending Marin’s contract. We are talking about an athlete of great quality, capable of expressing a ductility rare on the national scene: Leonardo naturally interprets the different roles of the three-quarter, always maintaining high technical standards and a remarkable quality of execution. Over the last season he has shown steady growth, finding continuity and solidity in his performances. In particular, his recent outings as first center have shown extremely convincing evidence, confirming how much this role can represent a position for him in which to fully establish himself”.
“We are confident that, in this new cycle, Leonardo represents an important pawn for our team: by continuing on this path, he will be able to continue to raise his level and make an increasingly decisive impact on our game” concluded Pavanello.
