Helmut Marko says goodbye to Max Verstappen and Red Bull

It’s the end of an era at Red Bull after the first title-less season since 2020.
After Christian Horner, who resigned mid-year, the historic advisor Helmut Marko, one of the team’s key figures, has also said goodbye to the Austrian team. A great discoverer of talent, the man who launched Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen officially resigned from his role as advisor in an official statement released by Red Bull.
“I have been involved in motorsports for sixty years now, and the past two decades at Red Bull have been an extraordinary and highly successful journey. It has been wonderful to help shape and share this experience with so many talented people. All that we have built and accomplished together fills me with pride,” are Marko’s statements.
“The fact that we missed the world championship by a whisker this season has affected me deeply and made me realize that now is the right time for me, personally, to close this very long, intense and successful chapter.”
“I wish the entire team continued success and I am convinced that next year they will again fight for both world titles,” is Marko’s farewell.
