In the upcoming summer soccer market session, Inter will most likely have to step in to buy a new defender. Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij have reached the end of their experience in Milan and it is very unlikely that Beppe Marotta will confirm both of them for next season. Federico Pastorello, the attorney for the two experienced defenders, recently expressed himself on the subject as follows: “The club with us has been very clear: they will make a decision at the end of the season. Then of course there’s who will be free to negotiate the renewal, who perhaps in the meantime will have already signed with someone else”.

L’Inter could sign a new defender from Real Madrid: according to the latest rumors, the Biscione has set its eyes on Antonio Rüdiger. The German central defender, born in 1993, is expiring his contract and is not part of the Blancos’ future plans, which is why they have already asked his entourage to look for alternative solutions for next season. Several Arab clubs have already expressed their appreciation of Rüdiger and are ready to shower him with money but the center-back is looking for a viable option to stay in Europe. Inter Milan could be the ideal solution but there will be the German&#8217s physical condition to evaluate.

In recent seasons Antonio Rüdiger has missed several games due to numerous physical problems: last season he had a muscle injury that forced him to stay in the pits for three weeks, then he tore his meniscus and did not play for two months. In September 2025 the German defender had a thigh problem that he was able to work out just a few days ago. Overall, in the last two seasons the’former Chelsea player has missed 27 games between Real Madrid and the German national team, a number that must compulsorily make clubs possibly interested in the defender think.

Reduced by Cesc Fabregas&#8217s poker thrashing Como on Saturday, Inter will take the field at San Siro on Tuesday night to face Liverpool in the Champions League. Standing out in the Reds is the absence of Mohamed Salah, ruled out by Arne Slot after the latest controversial statements made by the Egyptian.
