On the occasion of the presentation of Genoa’s new official store, the president of the Rossoblù club Dan Sucu and CEO Andres Blazquez announced the club’s intention to move on the market in January to ensure reinforcements for coach Daniele De Rossi ahead of the second half of the season.

“Of course, we will make a gift to the fans – said the Romanian businessman to the reporters present -. We need to improve on what we have done so far. De Rossi has all our trust, hopefully he can bring us as soon as possible to 40 points”. Genoa, after a bad start to the season that led the management to exonerate Patrick Vieira and rely on the’former Roma captain, is back from five useful results in the league, which allowed the Rossoblù to get out of the relegation zone.

Turning to the market, Sucu did not want to blurt out any names.

It is likely that action will be taken to meet the tactical needs of De Rossi, who, compared to Vieira, prefers to use a three-man defense rather than a four-man defense. Blazquez confirmed that the’intention is to intervene in this regard.

“We have appointed a new Chief of Football – said the Griffin executive referring to Diego Lopez, who took over from Marco Ottolini in early November – to correct what had not been done in the past. We will reinforce where it will be most needed”. Words that immediately sparked the reaction of fans, who can&#8217t wait to see who will be at the top of the management&#8217s wish list.
