Sofia Goggia was the big star of Fisi’s Media Day.
The'former Olympic champion spoke ahead of Milan-Cortina.
"The World Cup I have been playing it steadily since 2015-2016, so exactly ten seasons".
"o I’m fine, I worked well this summer, however I had a very good season last year, solid and also with the little preparation that managed to do because of the foot.”
"In the spring I exploited so much the winter conditions present in our mountains, the summer still started from a good physical base and the preparation on skis even in the South American block went well.”
"In my opinion we should not think about the seasons with the rainbow events, with a different conception than the others".
"You have to, in my opinion, get off to a good start, test yourself in the World Cup, be able to understand what level you’re at, calibrate your shot where there are things to fine-tune".
"However, the secret that Federica taught us last year is to ski every weekend strong; therefore, my goal is to be 100% on snow every day".
"I’m focused on what I have to do, without high expectations, but step by step.”
Federica Brignone meanwhile is continuing her rehabilitation.
The dream is to succeed for the Olympics.
It will be hard but dreaming costs nothing.

Just outside the top ten is Laura Pirovano, 11th at 1″15, while Elena Curtoni finished 13th at 1″19, Roberta Melesi 17th at 1″35, Nicol Delago 19th at 1″39, Nadia Delago 23rd at 1″79. Still to start are Sara Thaler 39th, Sara Allemand 48th, Vicky Bernardi 59th, Carlotta De Leonardis 65th, Asja Zenere did not start. The second time trial is scheduled for Thursday, December 11, at 10:15 a.m. with live television coverage on Eurosport.

Goggia’s comment at the finish: “I’m happy because it was since La Parva in September that I hadn’t done more speed. At Copper in November because of the lack of snow we did a few laps on supergiant skis, moreover on sections of about 20 seconds and nothing. I knew at the outset that it was a day where I would have to search only for the best comfort with my set up, it was a decent run, certainly there were some imperfections in the upper part and a couple of mistakes from the middle down, due to having lost a bit of aptitude for speed. In the technical parts I did well, the important thing is that I regained confidence with the long skis.”

Free technique will be the asssolute protagonist in the third stage of the World Cup, scheduled in Switzerland’s Davos between Friday, Dec. 12, and Sunday, Dec. 14, with a triptych of races consisting of the first Team Sprint of the season, followed by an individual sprint and a 10km with an individual start. Head coach Markus Cramer has summoned Federico Pellegrino, Elia Barp, Davide Graz, Simone Mocellini, Michael Hellweger, Simone Daprà, Paolo Ventura, Martino Carollo, Maria Gismondi, Caterina Ganz, Nicole Monsorno, Federica Cassol, Iris De Martin Pinter and Anna Comarella for the Swiss leg. The Davos sprint is a classic of the season, and there are no fewer than four successes collected in the resort by Federico Pellegrino (in December 2014, 2015, 2020 and 2022, who was able to stand on the podium a total of eight times, the last in January 2024 when Davos hosted the Tour de Ski.
