Chidera Eze issues challenge to Paola Egonu and teammates

A few days after the bitter tie-break defeat against Macerata, the Bergamo Volleyball girls are preparing to face, on Sunday, December 14 at 8:30 p.m., the Numia Vero Volleyball team captained by Paola Egonu: an important challenge for the players coached by Carlo Parisi, who ended the round of play in the playoff zone with two points ahead of Florence and Macerata.

The knockout against the Marche club does not yet go down well with Chidera Eze, a 2003-class setter on the Italian national team roster: “It was a long and difficult match – she said. We were good at countering, but we could have done better in coverage and batting. However, we have to give credit to Macerata, which took advantage of the decisive moments”.

“Defeat is a pity also because it does not give luster to the goal achieved– then added the Volley Bergamo athlete -: in these intense months, we have been patient and managed to slowly rise in the standings until we managed to earn the qualification to the Italian Cup and we must be happy about that”.

Eze then threw down the gauntlet to Egonu and her teammates, calling on the ChorusLife Arena crowd: “The strength of this team lies in being patient and trusting in the work we are doing in the gym. And then the Bergamo crowd is a blessing: you feel them on you and they give you an extra push” explained the red-blue volleyball player.
