After the post-season break, Jannik Sinner is back to putting tennis at the center of his daily routine, putting behind him the vacation period he spent with his fiancée Laila Hasanovic and the spotlight (also) on him in the last Formula 1 season weekend in Abu Dhabi. The South Tyrolean has therefore resumed his preparation ahead of a season that promises to be crucial, coming after a 2025 that has consecrated him, along with Carlos Alcaraz, as the circuit ruler: the two who have shared the four Slams and monopolized the world stage, certifying their superiority with impressive numbers on and off the field.

The year 2026, then, opens with new challenges. Remaining in the UAE after watching the F1 race, Sinner held a training session with Simona Halep, former WTA No. 1, under the watchful eye of Darren Cahill. The Australian coach, who has been confirmed on staff for the new season as well, followed both of them on their path to the top of the world rankings and documented some moments of the preparation on social media, capturing in particular an exchange closed by Sinner with a winning short ball. “A pair of champions” wrote the supercoach of the’South Tyrolean on Instagram.

"He accepted the stop, took a break and then on the return he almost won Rome"

"There is no doubt he will become one of the greatest players of all time"

The climate within Jannik Sinner’s team remains one of the strengths ahead of the new season. Seriousness and light-heartedness coexist, as evidenced by the beach soccer match immortalized by Cahill himself, confirming the recipe that has allowed the Sesto Pusteria outfielder to establish himself at the highest level. The ability to alternate between concentration and moments of leisure is part of a path that aims to bring him back to No. 1 in the rankings. Sinner, now No. 2 in the world, closed out 2025 with the knowledge that he can compete steadily with Alcaraz, beating him in the intense final act of the ATP Finals.

The new season will be a decisive test: defending the titles he has won, confirming himself in the Slams and, above all, returning to the top are Jannik Sinner’s goals for 2026. After proving he can handle the pressure and the weight of expectations, the goal is to shift gears and turn continuity into absolute dominance. The new year thus opens with a motivated Sinner, surrounded by a solid staff and ready to write new pages in his career. The path is set: hard work, balance and ambition. Ingredients that, combined with talent, can take him back to the top rung of world tennis.
