Lazio market, hypothesis farewell for two starters: alternatives ready

After the blockade of the incoming market last summer, Lazio is ready to resume negotiations but first is reasoning about possible outgoing operations to balance expenses.
As for Castellanos, on the other hand, Spanish media report Villarreal’s interest in the Argentine striker.
The Yellow Submarine is third in the La Liga standings, five points behind leading Barcelona, and is dreaming big. Castellanos would complete an attacking department that includes, among others, youngster Ilias Akhomach (class of 2004), Georgian national Georges Mikautadze, flag-bearer Gerard Moreno and experienced Ivorian Nicolas Pépé. For both Guendouzi and Castellanos, however, Lazio would initiate negotiations only in the presence of an offer deemed congruous.
The Biancoceleste management, meanwhile, is evaluating the alternative plan in the event of the sale of either or both players: to replace, eventually, Guendouzi, the names on the notebook, as reported by Sky Sport, are those of Bologna’s Giovanni Fabbian and Torino’s Ivan Ilic, with the latter possibly being part of the Grana revolution anticipated by the return in the role of sporting director of Gianluca Petrachi. For the offensive sector, on the other hand, the focus is on Lazar Samardzic of Atalanta, who with the arrival of Raffaele Palladino is finding less space on the field: however, the Serbian is not a role striker as Giacomo Raspadori, also a target of the biancocelesti, is.
The former Napoli man, currently at Atletico Madrid, has never played a full game in his new jersey and, except for a few occasions in the very first part of the season, has had to make do with remnants of games. That is also why a return to Italy does not seem impossible. Lazio is in pole position but will first have to understand the fate of Castellanos in order to get active on the Raspadori front, a player among others highly appreciated by coach Maurizio Sarri. The biancocelesti are therefore ready to return to the forefront of the soccer market: first, however, a 2025 not easy must be completed, with the matches against Parma, Cremonese and Udinese that will shed more light on the club’s seasonal ambitions.
