The mysterious and sudden crisis of Pecco Bagnaia in the 2025 World Championship has caused discussion among fans and insiders, as well as the riders themselves, who have tried to analyze the nightmarish year of the two-time MotoGP world champion, until last season the top rider for Ducati. Team Gresini centaur Fermin Aldeguer also had his say in an interview with Marca: “The break will serve him to recover. It wasn&#8217t a drop in performance: until he lost his cool and things got out of hand he was having a very good season. In the first few races he was always fighting to get on the podium, and he looked competitive”.

Pecco Bagnaia ended his season in the worst way.
Another retirement and goodbye podium in the world championship.

There is talk of a possible farewell to Ducati but the Turinese has been clear.
"I want to continue with Ducati, it is my ambition. I would like to finish my career with them"
"The race lasted 25 seconds and I had managed to pass 6, so I was quite happy until there".
"After fortunately I realized that a white thunderbolt was coming and I was able to pull the bike up".
"In the first round everyone is quite aggressive, so much so that I had passed 6 and it is a normal thing".
"There the braking point was a little bit' optimistic but these are things that can happen".
"Surely you arrive at the end of the season, in a season like this where things have gone like this especially in the last part, you arrive tired, exhausted".

“Then what happened? Marc Marquez was always ahead of him, and he could not reach that level. Marc’s presence didn’t help him, but I think it also had a lot to do with the work he did on himself. For me, he did not work in the best way with the team, with the bike, in his mentality, in his way of working, in creating a base for 2025. I think he has fired blanks” are Aldeguer’s clear words. “It&#8217s true, he did well in Japan, but he stopped there. He did not have the tools to fight. He had started the year well and the fact is that you got worse and you could not maintain the potential you had”.

Aldeguer pointed his finger at Bagnaia&#8217s attitude: “For me he focused too much on making a comparison with last season. Last year is last year, and this year is this year; you have to adapt to the situation, the bike will never be the same”. Former MotoGP rider Guintoli had analyzed Pecco&#8217s crisis this way: “The feeling on the front end is everything, especially with the current specifications of MotoGP bikes. You have to be able to feel that feeling and stop the bike efficiently, without shifting the load to the front on corner entry. If you feel it you are fluid and maintain speed in the corners, everything is connected”.

“There are centaurs who are more affected by the feeling, others less, and some have to feel 100 percent to be able to perform at their best– continued Guintoli, who explained that “the feeling is felt from the wrists, it is a strange feeling and you want to be in full control when you are on the limit. This feeling can affect you, it can get into your head”.

“I believe that in 2026 Pecco will come back, he had to hit rock bottom before he got back on his feet. The Motegi episode was a bit’strange, on that occasion he instead dominated”. Michele Pirro also spoke about Bagnaia to Corsedimoto: The goal for 2026 is to make him as competitive and fast as he has been on a few occasions this year. He still showed that he has not forgotten how to ride a motorcycle. We are sportsmen and there can be some years, some seasons that are a bit complicated. I am convinced that by working, by having a good winter, good tests he can regain competitiveness”.
