Undoubtedly Milan will try in any way to solve the striker problem in the winter soccer market session: Massimiliano Allegri is clamoring for a new center forward and Igli Tare is already at work to try to please him. Moving in January is always difficult, especially in this situation since Milan must also sell Santiago Gimenez to make room for the eventual new signing: the Mexican is in demand in England by Sunderland and in Argentina by Boca Juniors, although the Premier League club is currently ahead of Juan Román Riquelme’s club.

Among the various options on the table of Igli Tare and Giorgio Furlani is that of Gabriel Jesus, who in Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal is finding very little space given the competition from Viktor Gyökeres, who was signed by the Gunners in the summer for nearly 70 million euros. The Brazilian center forward is looking for a new experience to play with continuity and turn over a new leaf after the last few seasons marked by various injuries. In January Gabriel Jesus ruptured his cruciate ligament and only returned from injury in late November after more than 300 days spent in the infirmary that forced him to miss 46 games.

The issue of Gabriel Jesus&#8217s injuries must be analyzed very well by Milan: the Brazilian has always had various muscle injuries but, since a few years, serious trouble with his knees started. In the 2022/2023 season he was in the pits 100 days, in the next one 89 days and in the last one 335 days: practically an ordeal. In the Rossoneri he would have to alternate with Cristopher Nkunku, another player who is often in the pits, and could be a risk for Massimiliano Allegri but the Brazilian’s qualities are not in question and he would also bring a considerable amount of experience.

There is the economic issue to understand: at Arsenal Gabriel Jesus earns 16 million euros net per year, a figure absolutely out of the Rossoneri parameters. The player&#8217s will be crucial and the option of the Brazilian giving up a considerable part of his salary in order to wear the Rossoneri shirt cannot be ruled out.

A Milan could contact Arsenal to propose a loan until the end of the season with a buy-back option. Gabriel Jesus currently has a contract with the Gunners until 2027, so the English could sell the champion next summer at a bargain price to avoid losing him for free in 2027.
