Ruben Loftus-Cheek could leave AC Milan in January: the Rossoneri want to pull off two major strikes in the winter market, one in attack and one in defense, but before investing they will have to complete some weighty disposals. Among them is that of the English midfielder, who has slipped back in Massimiliano Allegri’s hierarchies after a good start to the season. A starter in the first three league games, the former Chelsea man has lost altitude and in the last three months has played from 1′ only in the Coppa Italia and on one occasion in Serie A. Too little for the Englishman, who is claiming space and is looking around for a solution.

Loftus-Cheek is hoping for a call-up from England’s head coach Thomas Tuchel for the 2026 World Cup: the midfielder was called up in October, but convincing the coach to take him to North America will require more consistent play. Allegri considers Loftus-Cheek an asset, but no longer the essential player he was at the start of the season. According to rumors, the British midfielder’s agents are therefore contacting multiple clubs in search of a solution in January. Contacts have reportedly also taken place with Serie A clubs: among them is Napoli, which could propose an exchange with Lorenzo Lucca.

Lazio is also closely following the Loftus-Cheek situation: according to Il Messaggero, pushing for the signing would be Maurizio Sarri himself, who coached the player at Chelsea. However, the Biancoceleste club would first have to make a major sale, such as that of Guendouzi, who is being followed by Sunderland, before striking. Several Premier League clubs are also interested in Loftus-Cheek, and some Bundesliga clubs have also made inquiries about him. In addition to the Englishman, Milan is also considering the position of Pervis Estupiñán, who has currently disappointed in the Rossoneri.

In late July, the Ecuadorian full-back left Brighton to move to Milan after the Diavolo shelled out 17 million euros. The player was coming off a very positive season with the English club and his move to the Rossoneri generated high expectations among fans, who, however, soon had to recant. Complicated by some muscle problems, Pervis Estupiñán failed to play consistently and, when called upon, did not always respond positively.

According to the latest rumors, Milan and Pervis Estupiñán&#8217s paths may already part in the summer and the Rossoneri are already looking for an’alternative. On Igli Tare’s list are mainly two names: Vitaliy Mykolenko and Ferland Mendy. The Ukrainian from Everton is on a contract expiration date and talks with the Toffees stalled months ago, while Mendy now seems to be out of Real Madrid&#8217s plans.
