The German won with a perfect run, finishing in 1’30″50, twenty-four hundredths ahead of the U.S. champion, who was unable to repeat the incredible performance of the first downhill. Twenty-nine hundredths behind the leader is Sofia Goggia, who misses second place by only five hundredths.

L’Azzurra knows very well where she lost those hundredths that cost her a better placing. “Too bad about that left foot in the long run, because it was crucial to bring out speed – she admitted to Rai microphones -, only I entered, in my opinion, very fast, but I couldn”t reverse and catch the foot well with solidity.

The balance is still positive for Goggia: “There were some waves, the ground was moving a little bit and so I got carried very low, however I still tried to push it as much as possible. I am satisfied with the performance and also with the result”.
