The 2025 F1 season has gone into the archives. All teams are preparing for 2026, the year of great revolutions. There are those who get there with a strong desire to return to compete for the title, like Fernando Alonso. The veteran Aston Martin driver is sure that, next year, he will be fighting for the title. He aims to have the best single-seater, relying on the talents of engineer Adrian Newey, who was called in precisely to “create” the perfect car. In addition, Fernando Alonso wants to continue regularly beating teammate Lance Stroll, as he did throughout the last Formula 1 season.

In 2025, no rider has “destroyed” his partner as the Spanish rider did against the Canadian. In qualifying, Fernando Alonso ended the season with a 24-0 that makes one wonder about the abilities, on the fast lap, of the two-time F1 World Champion. To be fair, Lance Stroll tried to defend himself in the races, where he scored 33 total points. Still a step behind his teammate who, on the other hand, took home 56 points and, more importantly, on the dry lap, never gave a single chance to the Canadian driver, son of the team owner.

More or less the same treatment Max Verstappen got against Yuki Tsunoda (22-0). Kimi Antonelli lost 3-21 the challenge to George Russell but, in the season finale, he went stronger than the Briton while Charles Leclerc finished ahead of Lewis Hamilton in qualifying 19 times out of 22 occasions.

The British driver’s performance was more balanced.

More balance, however, in McLaren. Lando Norris won the World Championship by 13 points ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri. In qualifying, the Briton finished ahead of the Australian 13 times, compared to his stablemate’s 11 “wins.” Fun fact: Oscar Piastri did better in the Sprints: 3-2 for him.
