Milan market, spotlight on Atalanta’s star player

Igli Tare and his staff have been working for some time to identify the ideal reinforcement to fix Milan&#8217s attack and please Massimiliano Allegri, who is disappointed with Cristopher Nkunku and Santiago Gimenez. The former Chelsea Frenchman is clearly lagging behind in condition and has not yet managed to make an impact, the Mexican is not a profile Allegri likes (who already wanted to torpedo him in the summer and there was talk of an exchange with Roma’s Artem Dovbyk). The Diavolo is looking for a solution for the January market but it is not excluded that they work on a loan so as to think better in the summer when there will be more time to organize the market.

Milan, total break between Massimiliano Allegri and Santiago Gimenez
Already in the summer the Livorno coach would have wanted the Mexican center forward’s transfer…
According to Allegri, Gimenez does not have the characteristics that the Rossoneri team needs
There had been talk of a trade with Roma’s Artem Dovbyk but then it did not materialize
In recent months the footballer has failed to change Allegri’s mind and is resigned to the transfer
Gimenez would have preferred to stay to prove his worth but Milan has made its decision: it will be goodbye
The'striker is required especially by Sunderland and Boca Juniors
Igli Tare has long been working to identify the'heir of the'former Feyenoord
Like very much Niclas Füllkrug, outgoing from West Ham and looking for a new experience
The mighty German did not settle in England and has already told his entourage to find him another team
The Joshua Zirkzee hypothesis cannot be ruled out, despite the fact that Roma is further ahead in talks with Manchester United than the Rossoneri
Igli Tare is also considering the Mauro Icardi option but it is more likely that the Argentine will leave Turkey in the summer, when his contract expires

In the summer soccer market session, AC Milan could make an attempt for Gianluca Scamacca, who at Atalanta seems to have found goals and a smile under the guidance of Raffaele Palladino. The Roman striker has scored 4 goals in the last 4 league games (2 against Cagliari, 1 with Hellas Verona and 1 against Napoli, dry against Fiorentina) and is the hero of the moment. Fueling the rumors about his possible transfer is the contractual aspect: at the moment Scamacca is tied to Atalanta with an agreement valid until 2027. Should he not renew by the summer, La Dea might decide to sell him to avoid risking losing him for free in 2027.

Much will depend on the will of Gianluca Scamacca, for whom some Spanish clubs are also moving. At the moment, the hypothesis of staying in Serie A (at Atalanta or another club) is the most quoted: the striker has already experienced an experience abroad (in England with West Ham) and things did not go very well, so he would prefer to continue his career in Italy to establish himself permanently and become a reference point also for Gennaro Gattuso’s national team. So far Scamacca in Serie A has worn the shirts of Sassuolo, Genoa and Atalanta. With the neroverde club he has so far had his best season in terms of scoring: 16 goals in 36 games in 2021/2022.

As for the winter soccer market session, Igli Tare is working on various profiles but the one that convinces the most is Niclas Füllkrug. The rocky German center forward definitely wants to leave West Ham to relaunch his career and the’Italian hypothesis particularly convinces him.

The Diavolo hopes that Niclas Füllkrug, thanks to his experience, will be able to make an important contribution right away to Massimiliano Allegri’s team, which urgently needs a reliable center forward. So far Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leão are succeeding in solving the bomber problem but a solution is needed as soon as possible.
