Roma market, there's the disappointed Albert Gudmundsson to fix the attack

Roma’s scoring difficulties in this first part of the season are there for all to see: in the league the Capitoline team has scored 15 goals, no team in the top 13 has done worse. Gian Piero Gasperini is desperate: for Artem Dovbyk the goal seems bewitched and with Evan Ferguson there are several problems related not only to numbers. As pointed out several times in the press conference by the coach, the Irish center forward seems not to have settled totally in Rome and is not training with the right spirit, an indispensable factor for Gian Piero Gasperini. The Giallorossi are therefore looking for a new element for the attack.

The Capitolini’s first target is Joshua Zirkzee, disappointed by his experience at Manchester United and determined to find goals and smiles again to convince Ronald Koeman to bet on him for the upcoming World Cup. The situation, however, is not easy: the Red Devils spent 43 million euros to buy him and are willing to sell him only on loan with a buy-back obligation or immediately outright, unattractive options for Roma. The English are also not so sure about selling him: the performance is not great but Ruben Amorim will lose several elements to the African Cup of Nations. In the last few hours, therefore, Roma has begun to evaluate the Albert Gudmundsson’option.

Reduced from a very negative first part of the season with Fiorentina, the Icelandic could accept a January transfer to immediately turn this very complicated year around. Roma&#8217s plan is to sign him on loan with a buy-back option, and his arrival in the capital would only be possible if the Giallorossi also manage to close for a pure center forward with great physical qualities. Despite his recent double against Celtic, it is very likely that Roma will send Evan Ferguson back to Brighton: the champion and Gasperini have not found the right chemistry and the striker could end his Italian experience after just 6 months.

Also in Roma&#8217s sights is Giacomo Raspadori, closed at Atletico Madrid and worried about the scant minutes Cholo Simeone is giving him: the sparkling ex-Napoli center forward hoped to play more with the Colchoneros but the competition is too much. Ahead of him are Julián Alvarez, Alexander Sørloth and Antoine Griezmann.

So far he has collected just 309 minutes spread over 12 appearances between La Liga and the Champions League. Diego Simeone continues to say that Raspadori is training very well and that it is only a matter of time but the player is losing confidence and could convince himself to return to Italy just 6 months after his move to Spain.
