After a match that can easily be called the most beautiful one seen in Sao Paulo, in the World Club Championship 2025, coach Marco Gaspari’s team conquers the prestigious trophy by overcoming the title holders Prosecco Doc A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano 3-1. In the all-Italian final, the Tuscans put on a winning team performance, high level in every fundamental but especially in defense. A decisive aspect to overcome the all-time champions Conegliano, at their second loss of the season in a final after the Supercup knockout against Milan.

The Prosecco Doc A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano’s World Club Championship 2025 begins as best it could not.
The current title holders in fact got rid of the Americans of the Orlando Valkyries in little more than an hour with clear partials (25-14, 25-13, 25-19).
Coach Santarelli’s team just needs the three laterals to close all talks.
20 points for a super Haak (4 ace), 13 for Zhu and 11 for the host, Gabi.

A few hours later, came Savino Del Bene Scandicci’s debut in the rainbow competition.

The athletes led by coach Gaspari engaged in a nice challenge against the Kazakh formation of Zhetysu VC.

Monstronomic performance for Ekaterina Antropova, protagonist of the Brazilian evening with 19 points on the scoreboard.
On tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 10, the Prosecco DOC A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano will take the court at 9:00 p.m. Italian.
The Savino Del Bene Scandicci will face its second game in the event, this time against the Brazilian women of Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde.
This'year Milan is not participating in the Club World Cup.
Last year they finished third.
For a change, they lost to Conegliano in the semifinals.

What is certain is that Serie A is, still, on the roof of the world. A concept also expressed by the words of the president of the Women’s Volleyball League, Mauro Fabris: “Italian women’s volleyball Serie A – is his post-match analysis – closes 2025 on the roof of the world, as in 2024. After the first Club World Cup Final in all-Italian history, between two great teams like Conegliano and Scandicci. Yet another confirmation of an absolute domination, with Italian teams two years without defeat in international competitions. Two years of unparalleled victories, trophies and emotions, in Europe and the World”.

“Congratulations to Savino Del Bene Scandicci, which in its first participation in a World Club Championships becomes World Champion. A success – added Federal President Fabris – the result of the investments and work of all components, starting from President Paolo Nocentini to the management, sponsors, staff and athletes. But big applause also to Prosecco Doc A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano of Presidents Piero Garbellotto and Pietro Maschio, which closes a 2025 as European champion and vice world champion. Even this year, there are still two Italians on the podium: Italian pride”.

The final was undoubtedly the most exciting match of the entire event. The first set was a real rollercoaster of emotions, where Scandicci made a crazy comeback from 20-24 to 30-28, starring Antropova on serve and team defense for the initial 1-0 lead. Coach Gaspari&#8217s team accelerated in the second set, taking advantage of both the effectiveness at the wall and the great contribution of Bosetti and Castillo on defense, taking a 2-0 lead (25-19). Conegliano did not let up on the match and with a great Haak (8 points in the set) came back down and shortened the distance (21-25).

The fourth set was a tough one.

The fourth set was a whirlwind of emotions: Scandicci took a sizeable lead from the middle of the partial, but Conegliano pulled out its claws fighting ball after ball to pull back and tie at 21-21. The exhilarating head-to-head match finally ended with a score of 25-23, which decreed Scandicci’s victory. Star game by Antropova, 26 points scored (3 aces and 3 walls) and always lucid in her choices, fundamental Skinner (18) and Nwakalor (13, 5 walls). Haak’s 21 points and a splendid Gabi’s 19 were not enough for Conegliano.
