The Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy has announced that Alba Larsen will take part in the 2026 F1 Academy season in the official Scuderia Ferrari HP livery at the wheel of the MP Motorsport team car, for which she has already raced in 2025 alongside Maya Weug. Alongside the F1 Academy championship, Alba will also compete in the F4 British Championship, thus continuing a structured and progressive development path to the higher categories of motorsport. The Dane has just turned seventeen years old: in fact, she was born on December 12, 2008, in Roskilde, a town less than 40 kilometers from the capital Copenhagen.

Entering the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy in August 2025, the talented Scandinavian earned the attention of Maranello’s youth program after winning, when she was just 14, the fourth edition of the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars project, dedicated to promoting female talent in motorsport. In 2025 Alba completed her first season in the F1 Academy, confirming the potential shown in tests and on the selection track by obtaining several placings in the points zone and finishing the debut championship by placing a more than flattering seventh.

For Alba, 2026 will start particularly early: the Dane will in fact also be involved in the F4 UAE championship, an ideal winter gymnasium to better prepare for the F1 Academy season. As soon as the Abu Dhabi GP, the last round of the World Championship, ended, Lewis Hamiton went off the rails. First, he warned everyone: “Right now I just want to unplug, don’t talk to anyone. No one will be able to contact me this winter. I will not have my phone with me. I can’t wait to just think about resting, the phone will go in the trash. I can”t wait to get away from all this” his clear words addressed to everyone who knows him and, of course, to the Cavallino.

After all, for someone used to excel, it is not easy to find himself, at the end of the season, with a fist in his hand and nothing more. Lewis Hamilton has just finished the most horrid year of his florid career. What was supposed to be the season of ultimate consecration has turned into a red-tinged nightmare: no GP wins, no podiums and only the paltry satisfaction of winning a Sprint (at the Chinese GP).
His first year at Ferrari was, by far, the worst of his entire long adventure in Formula 1. Never had he been a mere spectator in his own world, a world he dominated for a long time.
