Atalanta market, Bayern Munich comes knocking on the door again

In the next two summer soccer market sessions, Atalanta may have to make some important renouncements: there are several champions with expiring contracts and not for all of them there’s the idea of renewing their agreement. This is the case, for example, of Ademola Lookman, who is linked to the Orobic club with a deal valid until June 2027. After a turbulent last summer, a rift has opened between the Nigerian and the Bergamo club that now seems irremediable, and in all likelihood the striker will be sold in the summer to avoid the risk of losing him for free in 2027.
In the past few months, Inter tried hard to sign Ademola Lookman but Atalanta would not hear of it: the unforeseen (but unwinnable) sale of Mateo Retegui upset the Dea’s plans, and the Percassi family decided not to deprive itself of any more big names. Initially Lookman remained off the roster, then returned to the group but the relationship with the club is now compromised and Bayern Munich is monitoring the situation with great interest.
Already last summer the Bavarians probed the ground but the Bergamasks barred the way and nothing came of it. Now, however, things have changed: Atalanta is ready to part with Lookman and the Bavarians need a new striker to alternate with Harry Kane. Last summer Nicolas Jackson was acquired in extremis but the player’s renewal is highly unlikely. Bayern Munich brought him to Germany on an onerous loan with a redemption option set at 65 million euros but Jackson is failing to establish himself and will most likely return to Chelsea in a few months.
Bayern Munich is also monitoring with interest the situation related to Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract with Juventus is expiring. Until a few months ago his farewell at the end of the season seemed a foregone conclusion, with Luciano Spalletti’s arrival the chances of renewal have grown but the Serbian center forward’s future remains a rebus.
The former Fiorentina striker, moreover, is also being followed by Barcelona: the Catalan club will have to say goodbye to Robert Lewandowski, whose contract is expiring and is on the radar of AC Milan and Fenerbahce, and does not want to miss the opportunity to sign Dusan Vlahovic for free.
