Juventus is thinking about how to reinforce itself during the winter market. Among the priorities, there’s definitely finding a valuable regista who can give Luciano Spalletti more solutions in the middle of the field. Having a midfielder who can turn the team around is considered crucial by the Bianconeri leadership. However, to make a major operation, you also need the sacrifice of someone currently on the roster. Significant sums cannot be invested in the January market without first saying goodbye to at least one player.

Considering the many hurdles to get to Davide Frattesi, Juventus is reportedly thinking of trying, once again, the’assault on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, flagship midfielder of Roberto De Zerbi’s O.Marseille. The 30-year-old Dane has also been approached by the Old Lady in the past but, now, there seems to be an intention to step up in a big way. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has all the characteristics Juventus is looking for: personality, important physical qualities, great vision of the game and the right international experience.

The problem is that Roberto De Zerbi considers him a key man within his team and is unlikely to give the’ok for his transfer, especially in the current season. Juventus, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, could also consider putting Manuel Locatelli on the table. The Italian is well known to Roberto De Zerbi, who has known him for a very long time and, above all, esteems him highly. Moreover, the Italian midfielder does not seem to have completely convinced Luciano Spalletti, although the relationship between the two is more than good. It cannot be ruled out that, at the age of 27, Manuel Locatelli is eager to get involved elsewhere, although leaving the Old Lady is never easy.

Manuel Locatelli would not be the’only option on the table. There are other players the Bianconeri club could try to give up to recoup the investment needed to convince O.Masriglia to let Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg go. There is talk, for example, of Filip Kostic as a possible departing player.

What is clear is that Juventus wants to improve the quality of its midfield as early as January to thus make an assault on the top four places in the standings and snatch a pass for the next Champions League. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is considered the’perfect man but there is to study the right plan to get there.
