Serie A: heavy hand for Toma Basic, Cesc Fabregas also disqualified

The sports judge has released disciplinary measures after the 15th day of Serie A. Sting for Toma Basic, who was sent off in the last league match against Parma: the Lazio midfielder was disqualified for two turns and fined €’10,000 “for having, at the 32nd minute of the second half, with the ball not in playing distance, struck a player of the opposing team” with his forearm and clenched fist, on the hip. Remaining in the Biancoceleste team, Mattia Zaccagni, who was sent off in the match with the Gialloblù, was also given a suspension “for being responsible for a serious foul of play”.

A day of disqualification was also given to Torbjørn Lysaker Heggem (Bologna), who left the Rossoblù lineup in ten in the match against Juventus, “for committing a foul intervention on an opponent in possession of a clear goal opportunity”. Finally, as far as coaches are concerned, a one-day disqualification for Como coach Cesc Fabregas, who, already cautioned, was cautioned against Roma “for having, at the end of the match, on the field of play, assumed a provocative attitude toward a collaborator of the opposing team”.
