Inter market, Marotta’s acceleration spies Juve: nerazzurri in pole for January coup

L’Inter returns to the market in January to solve the problems on the right flank: with Dumfries knocked out and with recovery time still to be defined, Luis Henrique alone is not enough for Cristian Chivu’s team, which will in all likelihood anticipate in winter the blow it would put in June. The player in the crosshairs of Marotta and Ausilio is Brooke Norton-Cuffy, an English outside back who has come into his own with Genoa in this first part of the season. The 2004 class of the Grifone is valued at around 20 million euros and soon Inter could make its move.
The Nerazzurri are also moving to get ahead of other suitors for the player: Juventus and Napoli are very interested in the British outfielder, who arrived in Liguria in 2024 from Arsenal after a series of experiences in the Championship. Inter Milan would be ready to put Valentin Carboni, currently at Genoa on loan, in the pot. Norton-Cuffy plays for England Under-21s and won the European Championship in the category with Slovakia in 2025. He has played 14 Serie A matches so far, scoring one goal and making one assist.
Another name on Inter’s notebook for the right flank is Rafik Belghali, a 2002-born right outside forward from Verona and the Algerian national team, who according to several insiders is ripe for the jump to a top Serie A club in the January market. For Belghali, too, there is a queue with Juventus in the front row: a new market duel between the two arch-rivals is possible. However, Belghali is due to leave for the African Cup of Nations in the coming weeks and the purchase could be postponed until next June.
The following is Inter’s note on Dumfries’s injury: “Denzel Dumfries underwent surgery to stabilize his left ankle at the “Fortius Clinic” in London. The Dutch outfielder will follow a rehabilitation program in the coming weeks” reads the official channels of the Nerazzurri club,
Not only revenues: the Milanese club must also armor its stars from the assaults of foreign clubs. These would include Barcelona, which has its eye on Alessandro Bastoni. The Nerazzurri defender has a contract until 2028 and a valuation around 80 million euros.
