Multi-award-winning Italian actor and producer Pierfrancesco Favino is the’latest prominent name to perform at the Opening Ceremony of Milan Cortina 2026.

Just days after the announcement of six-time Grammy Award-winning artist Mariah Carey’s participation as the first international artist, organizers welcomed Favino as one of the most “influential and representative talents in Italian and international cinema.”

Favino has been a member of the renowned Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 2020. In Italy, he found consecration thanks to Gabriele Muccino&#8217s L’ultimo bacio and has since starred in numerous films and television programs, even lending the Italian voice to the beloved character Adonis the Penguin in Happy Feet 2 (2011).

The Italian actor is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Sciences.

The actor is also known internationally for starring in successful films such as World War Z (2013), Angels & Demons (2009) and Maria (2024).
