Multi-award-winning Italian actor and producer Pierfrancesco Favino is the’latest prominent name to perform at the Opening Ceremony of Milan Cortina 2026.
Just days after the announcement of six-time Grammy Award-winning artist Mariah Carey’s participation as the first international artist, organizers welcomed Favino as one of the most “influential and representative talents in Italian and international cinema.”
Favino has been a member of the renowned Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 2020. In Italy, he found consecration thanks to Gabriele Muccino’s L’ultimo bacio and has since starred in numerous films and television programs, even lending the Italian voice to the beloved character Adonis the Penguin in Happy Feet 2 (2011).
The Italian actor is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Sciences.
The actor is also known internationally for starring in successful films such as World War Z (2013), Angels & Demons (2009) and Maria (2024).
