Roma market, Joshua Zirkzee in the balance: there are 3 alternatives

Roma&#8217s urgency to sign a new striker is there for all to see: so far in the league, Gian Piero Gasperini&#8217s team has scored 16 goals, no other formation in the top 12 has done worse. To understand the situation even better, it is enough to consider that Inter head coach has scored more than twice as many goals as Roma: it is clear that the Giallorossi lineup needs a solution immediately. Frederic Massara is already at work to give Gasperini a new center forward in the January market.

The main target is Joshua Zirkzee but dealing with Manchester United is proving to be more complicated than expected: although the Dutchman plays a marginal role in Ruben Amorim’s lineup, the Red Devils’ valuation is very high, too much for Roma, which is looking for alternative hypotheses. Recently the Beto option has popped up, who could arrive in the capital in the exchange with Artem Dovbyk. Beto knows Serie A well and could contribute right away, without the need for a period of adaptation.

Also on Roma&#8217s notebook is the name of Fabio Silva, a Portuguese forward from Borussia Dortmund. The 2002 class was bought by the Gialloneri in the summer for nearly 23 million euros but has played very little so far: just 350 minutes collected between Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Champions League. The low minutes obviously does not make him happy and he could ask for a transfer as early as the winter soccer market window. Roma is also looking in Brazil: eyes on Yuri Alberto, who is shining with the Corinthians jersey.

The Brazilian club is going through a very delicate moment economically and may be forced to sell some of the best elements in the squad to fix the accounts. Raised in Santos, Yuri Alberto also played for Internacional and Zenit St. Petersburg before moving to Corinthians in the summer of 2022. He scores a lot and has ample room for improvement: in addition to Roma, West Ham, Sporting and Atletico Madrid also like him.

Frederic Massara is also closely monitoring Giovane of Hellas Verona, who is also requested by Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund. The qualities of the young Brazilian are not in question: the Scaligera club made a bargain to sign him for free in the summer from Corinthians. So far in Serie A the player has scored 3 goals and served 4 assists.
