The serious injury suffered by Fallou Sarr will force Spezia to intervene in the January market to strengthen the goalkeeping department, since Ligurian coach Roberto Donadoni currently has at his disposal only Mascardi and Loria, in addition to the youngster Sacha Guidi promoted from the Primavera team. According to reports in La Nazione newspaper, the club in Via Melara is reportedly evaluating three main profiles: the first name is that of Nikita Contini, Napoli’s third goalkeeper behind Alex Meret and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

The class of 1996 has a contract expiring in June 2026 and, without a renewal, could be released for free the following summer. His market value is around 400,000 euros. He has collected only one appearance during his time at Napoli, but boasts a resume full of experience at teams such as Carrarese, Virtus Entella, Pontedera, Siena, Spal, Reggina and Crotone, as well as a reserve role at Sampdoria.

The other two options lead to Palermo, which has four goalkeepers on staff and will let at least one leave. Incumbent Joronen, a Finnish national, is untouchable, while Avella, formerly of Brescia and arrived on a zero-parameter basis, is expected to remain as a third. Between Bardi and Gomis it will be decided who will be the deputy, with the’other set to leave the club. Francesco Bardi, 32 years old and 188 cm tall, arrived in the summer on a free basis after his years at Reggiana and has played 2 games this season with the Rosanero. He has 18 months left on his contract and a valuation of about 300,000 euros. A long stint at Frosinone (150 tokens) stands out in his career, as well as experience with Chievo Verona, Novara, Bologna and 2 appearances in the King’s Cup with Espanyol.

Alfred Gomis, on the other hand, is recovering from an injury and has yet to make his debut this season. The 32-year-old Senegalese national with 16 caps measures 196 cm and has the same market value as Bardi (300,000 euros), but his contract expires in June 2026 and will not be renewed, given Desplanches’imminent return from Pescara. Trained in the youth sector of Torino, he then played for clubs such as Rennes, Spal, Crotone, Avellino, Cesena, Dijon, Salernitana, Como, Bologna and Lorient, accumulating a total of 71 appearances in Ligue 1, 46 in Serie A, 147 in Serie B.
