Virtus Bologna wins in Belgrade with Partizan, Dusko Ivanovic praises defense

In the game of the sixteenth day of the Euroleague, Virtus Bologna conquered the parquet of the Beogradska Arena beating Partizan Belgrade 86-68 and returned to success after the home defeat against the leader Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The Black Vs were always in the lead at the end of all the first three quarters of the match, 24-19, 40-37 and 63-52, and then of course also at the end of the last one, but in the second one they were also down by 8 lengths before changing gears with a 13-0 partial between the second and third quarters and then another even 16-0 between the third and fourth quarters.
For the Bolognese, 20 points from Carsen Edwards and 14 each from Derrick Alston and Matthew Morgan. Here are the words of Dusko Ivanovic after the match: “I think we played a serious game, especially in the second half and on defense. Everyone was focused on what to do, and offensively we played easier than in the first half, moving the ball”.
“We lost several games by small margins, decided by one possession. So in basketball it’s either one or the other, the most important thing in all of this, is that we know what we want to do and we have our goal and it doesn’t matter at all now if you win one or lose one. There are so many games that we are sure sooner or later to lose or win, but we have to have an’idea of what we want and how we should play, that is more important to me right now”.
