Fluminense says goodbye early to Thiago Silva

Thiago Silva and Fluminense have decided to terminate his contract early and now the Brazilian defender will be free to move to a new club for free. This was announced by the club itself: “Fluminense announces that defender Thiago Silva has formalized the termination of his contract with the club”.
“Coming from the Tricolor’s youth academy, Thiago ends his second experience with Fluminense’s professional team. A 2007 Copa do Brasil champion, the captain played 212 games and scored 19 goals in the Tricolor” jersey.
“Thiago Silva, who returned to the club last year as a world soccer legend, leaves a legacy of dedication and love for Fluminense. The club thanks the athlete for the dedication and professionalism shown during his career and wishes him great success in his new path” the note reads.
The goal of Thiago Silva is to find a new club to convince Carlo Ancelotti to take him to the upcoming World Cup. There had also been talk of a return to AC Milan but the chances are very close to zero: the Rossoneri have other plans for the defense.
