Inter market: plans blow up for one player, everything changes in January

L’Inter is changing plans for Valentin Carboni. The Nerazzurri-owned fantasist, coming back from a serious knee injury, has not yet returned to his former self and the experience on loan at Genoa does not seem to have benefited him: the Argentine talent played just 354 total minutes, too little according to the Biscione management, which decided to immediately terminate the loan to bring him back to Milan. Valentin Carboni found little space in the Grifone shirt both under Patrick Vieira and after Daniele De Rossi’s arrival.
Inter have thus decided to call him back to Milan and have already agreed with Genoa for the interruption of the loan. The player will not remain in the Nerazzurri, but will again be temporarily transferred to another Serie A club: among the interested clubs would be Sassuolo, Parma and Pisa. Valentin Carboni is a prospect Inter cares a lot about in terms of the future: in 2024 he had made his debut with the Argentine world champion national team and even received applause from Lionel Messi himself. The Nerazzurri hope that he can relaunch himself and find his way back to growth as soon as possible.
Who arrived in Italy to Catania in 2019 from Lanus, Carboni moved to Inter in 2020.
After two years in the youth ranks, he made his first-team debut in 2022, then moved on loan to Monza and then to Marseille, where he seriously injured his knee. Meanwhile, the Biscione is working with Genoa for Denzel Dumfries’ replacement: the player in Marotta and Ausilio’s sights is Brooke Norton-Cuffy, an English outside back who has been making his mark with the Grifone in this first part of the championship.
The 2004 class of the Grifone is valued at around 20 million euros and soon Inter could make its move. The Nerazzurri are also moving to get ahead of other suitors for the player: Juventus and Napoli are very interested in the British outfielder, who arrived in Liguria in 2024 from Arsenal after a series of experiences in the Championship.
The Grifone class of 2004 is valued at around 20 million euros, and Inter could make a move soon.
Another name on Inter’s notebook for the right flank is Rafik Belghali, a 2002-born right outside forward from Verona and the Algerian national team, who according to several insiders is ripe for the jump to a top Serie A club in the January market. For Belghali, too, there is a queue with Juventus in the front row: a new market duel between the two arch-rivals is possible. However, Belghali is due to leave for the African Cup of Nations in the coming weeks and the purchase could be postponed until next June.
