Milan surrenders to Fenerbahce, Peppe Poeta: "Too many missed threes"

In the game of the seventeenth day of the Euroleague, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan was decisively beaten by defending champions Fenerbahce 87-72. Olimpia thus comes to a halt after its two successes over Panathinaikos and Real Madrid.
Peppe Poeta’s team put the opponents under only in the third quarter, after they had had an 11-length disadvantage in the second, and came up 55-56 in the last ten minutes, which, however, had no history.
For the Milanese there were 18 points by Armoni Brooks, for coach Jasikevicius’ Turks 23 points by Talen Horton Tucker and 20 by Bonzie Colson. Below are Poeta’s statements to EuroLeague TV.
“Honestly we never found the rhythm on offense, we missed so many threes. We tried to compete, but we lost our rhythm a little bit when we got close. After all, they are the defending champions, it is very difficult to play against them”.
