Udinese, Kosta Runjaic warns against Fiorentina

These are the words in the press conference of Udinese coach Kosta Runjaic presenting Sunday’s match with Fiorentina away: “It was good to win against Napoli, we played very well, but you can always improve. “Fiorentina is like a boxer cornered and this kind of opponent is the worst: we know it will be a difficult match, crucial for them, but also for us. Against Napoli, the players transferred to the field what they already show me in training, this victory was good for us and raised our self-confidence. Now we start again against Fiorentina, it will be a different game, we are 100 percent focused on doing well.

“It is a good team, in front they have Dzeko and Kean who scored a lot last year, but they have several quality elements in general. Their season shows that in soccer it is impossible to make calculations, who would have expected them to be last now? We want to put the right energy on the field, give everything, work as a team and wait for our chances. We have prepared in the usual way, focusing so much on the defensive phase. Away from home it is not bad to get points, if like against Genoa you can’t pick up three points you have to be good to get at least one, it is something we have to learn. It is more important to see growth in performance than results, since the latter depend on the former. Maybe my approach is too philosophical, because in soccer the result is the first thing, but I see it that way”.
