In the game of the seventeenth day of the Euroleague, Virtus Bologna surrendered in the final to the Red Star with a score of 90-89 on the parquet of the Beogradska Arena, where two days ago it had won against Partizan.

Decisive was a two-point basket by Jared Butler with 20 seconds left, then, when there were two to go to the buzzer, Carsen Edwards, who also finished with 29 points, missed the winning triple. For the hosts, 21 points came from Codi Miller-McIntyre.

These are the words of coach Dusko Ivanovic in the post-game conference: “Congratulations to Red Star that tonight played better at the beginning and end of the match, in the second half we needed more patience, especially two or three defenses were really bad. But this is basketball, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.”

“We have to stay positive and keep fighting. With that final shot sometimes you lose, sometimes you win, but it should be all ways to improve because we still have so many games to play in this crazy schedule. So we have to correct all the little details that come up during the games and improve”.
