Mario Balotelli in Serie A: a new hypothesis pops up

Mario Balotelli is not resigned and hopes that a call from some Serie A club will come in January: he still feels capable of having his say in our league and is just waiting for the right call to prove it. In October there had been talk of his possible transfer to Cagliari to replace Andrea Belotti, who ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the match against Inter, then Fabio Pisacane decided to target Gennaro Borrelli and the market hypothesis faded.
According to the latest rumors, Pisa is reportedly considering the signing of Mario Balotelli for the January market. The team is struggling a lot and is second to last in the standings with only 1 game won so far. Fueling the market hypothesis is the Alberto Gilardino factor: he was the one who had asked Genoa to sign Super Mario, then the arrival of Patrick Vieira upset plans and Balotelli ended up in oblivion. Gilardino particularly esteems the former center forward of, among others, Milan and Inter Milan and could bet on him to try to lift Pisa.
On Sunday, Alberto Gilardino’s team will be awaiting the challenge against Cagliari: “We can find ten or twenty reasons to tell about the last two defeats, but I think it is fundamental to focus on the next match – said the coach in the press conference -. We can think about the result of the Cagliari match, but above all about the performance we have to do on Sunday. How? By working harder, taking something away from each of us on a personal level to give it to the group and in performance”.
“I think this we can do. We have shown that we can respond. I would invite everyone to see how the boys train because no one can question their professionalism and dedication to their work, I have a great group. We know that we made mistakes within the two defeats and the two important games, but we also know that there is a possibility of reaction and improvement. With great confidence we will face the Cagliari match” said Alberto Gilardino.
The’only victory scored so far in the league dates back to Nov. 7, when Idrissa TourĂ© sank Cremonese. After that match, Pisa lost to Inter, Parma and Lecce and drew with Sassuolo. After Sunday’s engagement against Cagliari, Alberto Gilardino’s team will take on Juventus on Saturday, Dec. 27.
