Massimiliano Allegri is paying dearly for his tiff with Lele Oriali: the two quarreled during the Italian Super Cup semifinal and very unkind words were exchanged that forced the Giudice Sportivo (sports judge) to sanction the Milan helmsman. Sporting Judge Dr. Gerardo Mastrandrea, assisted by Stefania Ginesio and A.I.A. Representative Carlo Moretti, decided in his Dec. 20 meeting to punish the Livorno coach with a 10’000.00 euro fine. No punishment, however, for the Napoli bench.

The Giudice Sportivo has imposed a fine on Massimiliano Allegri“for having, during the second half, adopted a provocative attitude toward a manager of the opposing team, to whom he also repeatedly addressed offensive expressions; offense detected by the staff of the Federal Prosecutor”. Through an official statement, Napoli had demanded a severe punishment against Milan&#8217s Livorno coach. Aurelio De Laurentiis’ club had entrusted its reasons to a note published on the club”s official website.

This is the statement from the blue club: “Ssc Napoli strongly condemns the attitude of Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri who, during the semifinal of the Italian Super Cup, in the presence of dozens of people on the sidelines and on live television, heavily insulted Gabriele Oriali with offensive and repeated terms. We hope that such aggression, totally out of control, does not go unnoticed, all the more so because, with 33 cameras engaged in the production of the event, it is impossible not to notice what happened.”

The statement by Napoli was released in the presence of dozens of people on the sidelines and live on television.

Napoli’s statement sparked inevitable controversy on the web: the Neapolitan fans pointed the finger at Max Allegri, asking for more respect for Oriali, the Rossoneri people, on the other hand, took it out on Antonio Conte’s aide, guilty, in their opinion, of constantly complaining to the match director.

It all seems to have started when Adrien Rabiot kicked, from the ground, Matteo Politano, without receiving any card from referee Luca Zufferli. The tension between the two benches was evident, so much so that the two coaches, in the end, would not even greet each other. It should be highlighted how, both Max Allegri and Antonio Conte, during their respective post-match press conferences made no reference to what happened during the match.
