After the Super Cup semifinals, the focus returns to Serie A and Saturday night’s big match between Juventus and Roma, a challenge that at the Allianz Stadium pits two teams seeking confirmation and two coaches, Luciano Spalletti and Gian Piero Gasperini, against each other, called upon to manage delicate choices at a key moment of the season. Both former players of the match, they arrive at the appointment with the goal of consolidating top ambitions and regaining certainties through important returns and forced rotations.

Juventus starts again with its 3-4-2-1, but with a major element: the return of Bremer from the first minute after a three-month absence. The Brazilian completes the defense with Kalulu and Kelly, while in midfield the absence due to disqualification of Koopmeiners leads Spalletti to confirm the McKennie-Locatelli-Thuram-Cambiaso block. In the three-quarter there is room for Yildiz and Conceiçao, increasingly central in the HCL project, while in attack Openda appears favored over David to lead the restarts. The surprise comes from the bench: Milik returns, summoned 574 days after his last appearance, a return that could expand the offensive solutions.

Roma arrives in Turin with a few more doubts, especially in defense, where Hermoso remains doubtful due to fatigue. However, Gasperini will find Celik again, who returns after being disqualified, while Rensch seems set for confirmation on the left. Cristante and Koné will act in the middle, with Wesley ready to man the right flank. In the three-quarter, Soulé and Pellegrini should start from the off, with Dybala still not at his best and probably destined to enter the game in progress. Up front, with Dovbyk unavailable, it will be Ferguson’s turn to lead the attack in a significant test also from a market perspective.
