Serie B 2025-2026: Modena-Venice, the likely lineups

Modena-Venezia looks like a delicate challenge for both, with the canarini called to regain continuity and the lagunari intent on confirming the good things shown in recent weeks. At Braglia they face two teams grappling with heavy absences, especially in their respective offensive departments and in the middle of the field, factors that could affect the match’s balance.
Modena rejoins Cotali after a three-match absence but must forgo Tonoli, who is disqualified, and Defrel, whose muscle injury will keep him out until 2026. Sottil confirms the 3-5-1-1 with Chichizola between the posts and a defensive trio with Adorni flanked by Dellavalle and Nieling. On the flanks ballot on the right between Beyuku and Zanimacchia (favored the former), while on the left will act Zampano. In the middle Gerli will be the pivot, with Santoro and one of Sersanti and Pyyhtia on either side. Massolin may be confirmed in the three-quarter, while in attack the challenge between Gliozzi and Mendes remains open, with the latter, however, expected to start.
Venice arrives at Saturday’s match without Kike Perez, who has been disqualified, and with several defections on the outside lanes, where Pietrelli and Compagnon will still be missing. Stroppa should confirm the 3-5-2 with Stankovic in goal and the defense composed of Schingtienne, Svoboda and Sverko. On the right, there is space for Hainaut, while on the left it is a duel between Bjarkason and Haps, with the Icelander favored. Busio will be in the direction, flanked by Duncan, called to replace Kike Perez, and Doumbia. Up front, the Yeboah-Adorante pair is confirmed.
