Inter market, early January strike to cover a big gap: tease the'surprise option

Inter is increasingly focused on anticipating a January market coup: the spotlight is on the right flank, which is increasingly worrying Nerazzurri managers. The injury to Denzel Dumfries has highlighted the difficulties in that sector, and neither Luis Henrique nor Matteo Darmian for one reason or another are convincing Cristian Chivu. The Milanese club will thus act on the winter market, anticipating the blow that Marotta was planning to make in that area of the field next summer anyway.
The first name on the Nerazzurri executives’ list is that of Marco Palestra, an outside player owned by Atalanta who is impressing at Cagliari. Dea is a very expensive store, however, and the player is valued at 40 million euros-a sum too high for a January investment, unless the summer market plans are totally disrupted. The second name is that of Rafik Belghali, a profile that is certainly less expensive: in this case the obstacle is the player’s participation in the African Cup of Nations; Inter runs the risk of not having him available until late January.
In addition, the Algerian player is also in the crosshairs of Juventus. The third option is surprising: Inter likes Fiorentina’s outside player Dodò. The Brazilian player has a contract that expires in 2027, but he could leave in the summer if he doesn’t find an agreement for renewal with the Viola. Inter could take advantage of the situation to land the purchase immediately in the winter: Dodò is valued around 18 million by the lily club and could become a great opportunity for the Nerazzurri. Also on the list is Brooke Norton-Cuffy, an English outside player from Genoa, but the competition in this case is very strong in Italy and abroad.
“January market? I don’t exclude anything but I say that the roster fully meets the needs of the coach and the club, a discussion with Ausilio and Baccin we will do and we will evaluate what to do” said Nerazzurri president Beppe Marotta before the Super Cup semifinal against Milan.
