Olimpia Milano, at last the real Josh Nebo: the future is getting interesting

In Olimpia Milano’s victory on the court of Cantù Basketball, Josh Nebo was literally dominant. The long man was, by far, the match’s MVP with an impressive 22 points and 12 rebounds. A double-double d’author, his first in the season.
After spending all of last season in the pits due to multiple injuries, the explosive long man seems, at last, to have regained perfect physical condition. This has been seen in these last few outings (five games in nine days for the red-and-whites), where the’former Maccabi Tel Aviv player has, literally, done what he wanted under the boards.
They have been doing what they want.
Coach Poeta, in the post match of the derby, stressed the’importance of having a Josh Nebo in this condition of form: “Our guards are finding more and more connection with him and on pick and rolls he gives us an important gravity. Of note are the 22 assists, mostly from the outside, who have been good at activating him in dynamic situations, where he is most dangerous. He can give us an extra arrow to our bow on offense, where we started strong today, moving the ball well. Then, when we were a little bit more stagnant, the connection with him was very important”.
On Tuesday Olimpia is expected to face a very delicate challenge on the court of Dubai Basketball, one of the newcomers to the Euroleague. Being able to count on a Josh Nebo at the top of his game is no small advantage for the Red and White. Welcome Josh Nebo. With him under the basket, it is clear that Olimpia’s level rises.
