Dani Alves buys himself a Portuguese team and returns to play

As reported by Marca, Dani Alves is ready to return to soccer. After being acquitted of sexual assault charges (14 months in prison), the’former defender of, among others, Barcelona and Juventus, has moved closer to the Evengelian faith but has certainly not forgotten his passion for football, his great love. A passion that is leading him, at the age of 42, to get back into the game, once again, on the green field.
The Brazilian defender is reportedly close to finalizing the’purchase, along with a group of investors backing him, of a Portuguese third division club. Specifically, he would be about to buy São João de Ver, a team currently tenth in the Portuguese third division league.
No intention of becoming a manager but the desire would be to return to the field. The’idea would be to play the next six months in the ranks of the São João de Ver, so he could savor the taste of being a footballer again.
Dani Alves would already be getting in shape to be ready when the time comes to return to the field. The Brazilian stopped playing in January 2023 after the notorious incident of the’sexual assault allegation. Now, after his acquittal, he has regained his desire to play.
