Juventus market, it’s done for the new sporting director

Juventus will soon have a new sporting director: he is Marco Ottolini, who left Genoa last Oct. 31 after more than three years with the Rossoblù in which he helped bring the Ligurian club back to Serie A immediately. According to reports by Sky Sport, the Bianconeri club has already reached a verbal agreement with the 45-year-old executive from Gardone Val Trompia, who will complete the Old Lady’s organizational chart after the arrival of technical director François Modesto.
For the Lombard ds, it would be a return to Juventus, but in a completely different role: Ottolini had served as scout and loan area manager in his time at Juventus, contributing to the development of Juventus Next Gen, from 2018 to 2022. His managerial career began in 2015 at Anderlecht in the role of observer, while his last experience, as mentioned, was with Genoa in which he scored important market shots including Mateo Retegui, now with Al Qadsiah, and Josep Martinez, now at Inter.
Marco Ottolini will immediately have to satisfy the wishes of coach Luciano Spalletti, who is already working with the Juventus management to fix the lineup, and among the departments that need the most intervention is the midfield. The coach from Certaldo, Italy, has drawn up a list of possible reinforcements to fix things.
In the list are some targets for the winter market and others, such as Leon Goretzka, for the summer session. The experienced German midfielder is expiring his contract with Bayern Munich and the club does not seem intent on retaining him.Vincent Kompany does not want to deprive him in January but in the summer he will not stand in the way of his departure.
