Milan Cortina 2026, Fisdir athletes launch an appeal

With the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics and Paralympics now just around the corner, the Ski Race Cup for Fisdir Athletes offers a calendar full of novelties, bringing to five the circuit races including two in Folgaria (TN), one in Sestriere (TO) and two at Passo del Tonale (BS). But there’s more: the five races are joined by another one with international athletes in Tarvisio called Ski Race International and for the first time an event abroad in the ski paradise of Kitzbühel: an important step for the model of inclusion and integration that underpins the entire initiative.
The Ski Race Cup for Fisdir athletes once again confirmed the value of sport not only from a competitive point of view, but as a powerful tool for personal and social growth, capable of breaking down barriers and prejudices. The competitions provided intense emotions: the athletes overcame limits and expectations, showing that sport is a universal language, able to unite and inspire. The young athletes and students launched an appeal that will be accompanied by a new ‘hashtag’ #OLYImpaired on social media for the duration of the Olympics.
The project came to life during a training session at the AMMI Foundation in Monza in a Sport Management lecture, where Eng. Andrea Sala (philanthropic investor), Silvia Sardi (lecturer and Journalist at Ones Media House) and competitive athlete Filippo Freddi (accompanied by his mother Anna Repellini) spoke about sports and integration, bringing a concrete example that would break through the hearts of young students.
From the team of athletes comes a strong message: athletes with intellectual disabilities deserve space, visibility and a clear path to major international events – including the Olympics. The movement calls for inclusion not to remain an abstract principle, but to become a real opportunity: to give a voice to those who are demonstrating on the field talent, commitment and ability to inspire the entire country.
The 2025 edition marked the beginning of a new cycle of formats, collaborations and integration. The Fisdir movement reaffirms its mission: to provide athletes with skills useful for autonomy, break down prejudices and promote a real and concrete culture of inclusion. The Ski Race Cup for Fisdir Athletes is ready to grow. Now is the time for the Olympic world to hear this call as well: OLYMPIEREMO!.
