Napoli market, Antonio Conte is ready to welcome new midfielder
Napoli wants to try to improve further during the winter market (officially, kicking off next January 2). The squad available to Antonio Conte is already of the highest level but, as the many injuries have shown, it is better to have as many resources as possible so as not to risk always having to play in emergencies and, consequently, never being in top condition. The goal is to bring home a quality midfielder, sacrificing a player (Lorenzo Lucca) to operate at zero balance as required.
From England comes important news about Kobbie Mainoo, the midfielder that Napoli coach Antonio Conte would love. According to TalkSport, the 20-year-old English midfielder is reportedly trying to convince Manchester United to sell him. The talented youngster has been approached by Napoli, although there would be other clubs, including from the Premier League, on his trail. It remains to be seen whether Napoli, should they come forward in a major and decisive way, will be able to beat out the competition.
Clearly, Manchester United wants to think hard about the’possible sale of Kobbie Mainoo. It should be remembered that the Red Devils have, in the recent past, sold a certain Scott McTominay to the Neapolitan club. A decision that, considering the level reached by the Scottish midfielder at Napoli, was not very smart. Before giving up Kobbie Mainoo, Manchester United wants to do some important thinking and figure out whether and how to let him go. Kobbie Mainoo, potentially, is a star player.
Napoli also does not want to make any mistakes. Giovanni Manna, sporting director of the Azzurri club, was clear: “We have to be thoughtful in January, we have so many players out who will then return.” More than correct and, then, there’s to figure out what to do about Lorenzo Lucca, the striker who, at the moment, is disappointing in the Azzurri.
The’former Udinese center forward looks set to pack his bags. Several clubs have reportedly come forward for the Azzurri national. These include several English clubs, including West Ham. In the last hours there has also been talk of a survey by Juventus. Napoli is waiting, patiently, for the right offer.
