Gaffe in greeting Manolo Gabbiadini: club’s slide

After two and a half years Manolo Gabbiadini’s experience at Al Nasr, the UAE formation to which the center forward had moved for free in the summer of 2023 after his farewell to Sampdoria, has ended. With Al Nasr Gabbiadini scored a total of 17 goals and 3 assists in 45 official matches but his path was unfortunately filled with injuries. The club saluted him through social media but, in the graphic created for the occasion, got the name wrong: in the post they renamed the striker ’Manolo Gabiaddini’, removing a B and adding a D.
“I want to thank Al Nasr for these two and a half incredible years. They have been fantastic seasons where I have had an amazing experience and I am really proud to have played in this fun, competitive and quality-filled league. The first year, with 14 goals and the unfortunate President’s Cup final, was a fantastic season that I will always remember. I am also very happy and proud to have helped the team win the Super Cup. Unfortunately, injuries played their part and I was not able to give all I could but I am sincerely proud to have played in this league and especially to have worn the Al Nasr’Al Nasr” jersey, wrote Gabbiadini on his social profiles.
“From now on I will always be a big fan of the club and will continue to come to the stadium to cheer on the team. I am extremely proud of the bond I have built with everyone inside the club, from the first one to the last one. This is something I truly appreciate and take with me. Once a blue, always a blue” concluded the center forward, who has been showered with ‘likes’ thanks to the many Al Nasr fans scattered around the world. Now Manolo Gabbiadini could return to Italy: there are apparently several Serie B clubs interested in buying him.
A footballer like Gabbiadini would suit many because of his enormous experience: 278 appearances and 69 goals in Serie A, 51 appearances and 10 goals in the Premier League, 27 appearances and 5 goals in Serie B in addition to the various cups played. The seasoned center forward also counts 13 appearances and 2 goals with the Italian senior national team jersey.
Growing up in the youth teams of Palazzolo and Atalanta, Manolo Gabbiadini also played for Montichiari and Cittadella before moving to Juventus in 2012. With the Bianconeri, he had very little space and went on loan to Bologna and outright to Sampdoria, where he finally established himself. Excellent performances convinced Napoli to buy him, then there’was the experience at Southampton before returning to Samp. In 2023 he flew to the United Arab Emirates.
