Fiorentina market, a former great bids for return

The bombastic victory with Udinese did not chase away Fiorentina’s crisis as it fell for the umpteenth time this season to Parma on the final day of Serie A. The Viola cashed in their 10th defeat in the league, in which they are in last place with only 9 points to their credit. “When you find yourself with a ranking like that, for the players it is an abnormal situation, of great pressure – said Beppe Iachini at the microphones of Rai Radio 1 -. You have to overcome unexpected difficulties even at the psychological level”.
“My wish is that the situation can get back on track. There are margins to be able to rearrange” added the’former player and coach of the lily club. According to Iachini, in fact, there’s a solution to get out of this extremely complicated situation: “We need a series of consecutive results to be able to unblock the situation and return to play with the right serenity. From last in the standings, now there’s situational awareness. Now there’s no reason to have to be afraid”.
Paolo Vanoli failed to shake up the purple environment: “Meanwhile, I wish him the best of luck, he needs it right now. I have been there too, for a coach these are moments of great responsibility” So, the former Bari coach opened to a possible return to the purple bench: “At this moment there have been no real contacts. I just wish good luck to the whole purple environment, to which I am very attached: I spent six years as a player, then as a coach. Then what happens tomorrow, we will see. I would not hesitate to lend a hand, in this situation even other professionals would not refuse. Fiorentina is always a great club, beyond the moment it is experiencing”.
Closing on Fabio Paratici, who could become Fiorentina’s new ds: “I have known him for many years. He is a professional who has faced many situations, both very positive with important victories and also those that need to be put right. He is a very competent person, if he comes he will certainly try to give a great hand to the club and the team. Now there’s a need to regroup and get results”.
Iachini coached Fiorentina in the 2019-2020 season when he took over from Vincenzo Montella in late December 2019, finishing the season in 10th place in the standings. He was exonerated by Fiorentina in November 2020, but returned to the Viola’s bench at the end of March 2021, winning salvation and then permanently severing his relationship with the Tuscan club.
