Dall'Igna: "Marquez and Bagnaia two different champions"

Ducati Corse

“This season, in terms of value and hopefully also in terms of spectacle on the track, is comparable to none of its predecessors. We will celebrate Ducati’s centenary and at the same time it will be a moment of transition in view of the radical change of regulations in 2027“. Gigi dall’Igna, General Manager of Ducati Corse, looks forward with confidence and curiosity to a 2026 in which the Reds will try to confirm themselves at the top of both the drivers’ and constructors’ rankings.

“Racing has always been a part of Borgo Panigale’s DNA, and we hope to honor this very important milestone by lending luster to our motorcycles’ technology and setting new records. We are proud to carry the Rosso Centenario matte and the double white stripe on the fairings of the new Desmosedici GP to fight, as Ducati, for the seventh consecutive constructors’ title and the sixth riders’ laurel in our roll of honor. These are ambitious goals and it is difficult to think more” adds the engineer.

“On Marc and Pecco I have little to add: they are two champions, different but champions both. Marc has shown that he is an outclassman, capable of going beyond all adversity to find peace, victory and speed. Pecco struggled, but he never gave up and put his talent in front, showing that he can be a true protagonist again. Thanks to all our partners and to Madonna di Campiglio, which welcomed us in its truly evocative setting for the presentation of the Ducati Lenovo Team. With the whole team, we are ready to face this 2026” Dall’Igna concluded.

A new exciting MotoGP season is therefore just around the corner. First appointment from February 3 to 5 in Malaysia, at Sepang International Circuit, when the Ducati Lenovo Team riders will also be on track for the first official test session.
