An obviously more than satisfied Sergio Scariolo analyzed Real Madrid’s victory against Olimpia Milano on the 23rd day of the Euroleague: for the red and whites it was a real caporetto closed with 39 points behind (106-77 for the whites).

“Today you couldn’t ask more from the team, but this game ends here because we have another tough challenge ahead of us on Thursday. We moved the ball very well and distributed a lot of assists. It was a really good performance. The schedule is so intense that if we dwell too much on this match, we risk losing focus on Monaco, who are vice-champions,” said the former great.

“We have to realize the work we are doing starting from concentration, looking for our game identity, balances between the quintets and an increasing continuity in performance. We are playing with much more discipline, with better knowledge of the system and with great defensive intensity,” added the Brescian.

“We are defending well. The team is well physically and the players are coming in fresh because of how we have managed these months and their great professionalism throughout the week. I am also satisfied with those who may not play for two or three games, but they always train at their best and are ready to be ready when needed. However, we are in the middle of January and some will say it is still early. Let’s move on,” Scariolo’s conclusion.
