The seventh day of the Champions League Phase pits Juventus and Benfica against each other in a very important challenge for both teams. With two rounds left in the single-round phase, the Bianconeri and Portuguese know they can’t slip up: they need points, better yet a win, to stay in the race for qualification. The match will be played at 9 p.m. at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

The Juventus comes to this fixture occupying 17th place in the standings, a position that would currently guarantee access to the playoffs, but without any certainty. Spalletti’s team, in case of success, would be certain of a place in the playoffs. In terms of formation, Di Gregorio returns. In midfield, space for Thuram. Forwards, David is confirmed. On the other side, watch out for Pavlidis.

Benfica, on the other hand, is in 28th place and desperately needs the three points to remain in the running for a playoff spot. The two teams come to the challenge with different moods in the league: Juventus is fresh from the defeat against Cagliari, which took it away from the Champions League zone and from the top occupied by Inter, while Benfica arrives from the success on the field of Rio Ave and is third in the Portuguese league standings.
