Fiorentina market, at great risk a market target

Paris FC is on the lookout for a central defender and has put a spoke in the wheels of Fiorentina, from which it would have picked up among others Edin Dzeko, now one too many in the liliati’s revival project. The newly promoted club in Ligue 1, when it had defined the roles to be reinforced in this winter market, had prioritized a center forward (and not surprisingly courted the experienced Bosnian), a physical midfielder and an outside player. For the defense, on the other hand, he had let it be known that he would evaluate any opportunities.
Samir Chergui’s long absence, expected to be between 6 and 8 weeks after returning from the African Cup of Nations last week due to a thigh injury, has changed the scenario, however, not least because since the beginning of the year the coach of the Capitoline side Stéphane Gilli has been deploying a five-man defense, a solution that could be confirmed in the future.
In this light, the management has initiated contacts with Olympiakos Piraeus for Frenchman Giulian Biancone (25). Deployed a total of 14 times since the start of the season, the former Monaco man is not finding much space, but his coach does not intend to deprive him, believing that he still has ample room for growth.
The team is also looking for a new player.
In the last few hours, another name has also been circulating, that of 22-year-old Diego Coppola, currently at Brighton and in the Viola’s sights. The former Hellas Verona player has also played little since the start of the season, with 9 appearances in total: 5 in the league and 4 in the cups. Paris FC seems willing to use the loan formula in this winter window, an aspect that could slow down negotiations, although Coppola would have already given his approval for the move under the Eiffel Tower.
