Illness during Alcaraz-Paul: after scare, Spaniard shines

During the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Tommy Paul, much fear over a spectator falling ill. The referee interrupted the match while the tie-break of the first set was being played to allow for help to arrive. Fortunately, after about 10 minutes, the problem receded and the match could resume. During the forced stoppage, the two tennis players remained on the court and hit a few serves. The ailment appears to have been caused by the big kick, a real problem in Melbourne.

As for the match, Carlos Alcaraz has, again, shown that he is in great form. The world number one won in three sets: 7-6 (8-6), 6-4, 7-5. Nothing could Tommy Paul, who also played at a very good level of tennis.
